CSUSB represented in new digital publication, CSUniverse
CSUniverse, a new digital publication from the California State University, is now available online, and CSUSB is represented in the inaugural edition.
Look for “CSUSB Ranked Among Best Value Online MPA Programs,” under Campus Achievements in Notables; El Grito - Mexican Independence Commemoration and Celebration, in Events; Assistant Professor of History Yvette Saavedra’s “Pasadena Before the Roses,” in Books, and student Michael Huang in 23.
From CSUniverse editor Brenda Wong, “This digital publication is created to share the stories that illuminate who we are as the California State University system. With articles that come directly from the 23 campuses, they showcase our stellar universities, students, faculty and alumni. It is our way of expanding the reach, voice and awareness of the CSU.
“CSUniverse’s debut issue focuses on a key aspect of the California State University: The opportunities for personal and professional growth that are truly out of this world. Meet the students from Cal Poly Pomona who are taking part in a NASA entrepreneurial partnership. Discover a remarkable new oceanography program at Cal Maritime. Or share the journey of a high school valedictorian, set on studying engineering, who ends up majoring in music at Stanislaus State and becoming a renowned vocalist.
“CSUniverse includes other sections worthy of your attention: Notables, Events, Books, Voices and 23. They highlight exciting news and insightful perspectives from faculty and staff, from students and alumni and from the campuses, magnifying the impact and value of the CSU to California. Among these is boosting the state’s economy, the fifth largest in the world! Indeed, the CSU’s 3.7 million alumni help power economies everywhere—locally to globally—bringing vitality and creativity to cultures large and small.”
