CSUSB to raise scholarship funds as part of Giving Tuesday

Media Inquiries

Coinciding with the annual Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving, Cal State San Bernardino is once again hosting its own campaign on Tuesday, Dec. 3, to raise funds for student scholarships.

Last year, CSUSB raised more than $60,000 from generous donors, providing 60 students with a $1,000 scholarship this past fall. Scholarships were awarded to students who actively serve their community and give back.

CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales will match donations — dollar for dollar up to $10,000 – as long as the donation is submitted before midnight on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Giving Tuesday, which is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States, is to inspire people to work together in improving their local communities and give back in meaningful ways to the charities and causes they support.
