Coyote Radio partners with the IE Ronald McDonald House ‘Walk for Kids’

Cal State San Bernardino’s Coyote Radio participated in the annual “Walk for Kids” fundraising event for the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House, recently held at Fontana Park in the city of Fontana.
Coyote Radio, housed in the College of Arts and Letters, had a promotional table set up for walkers and attendees to spin a prize wheel and play games, all to win prizes such as Coyote Radio T-shirts and pens. And Dave and Busters, Ontario Mills Mall provided its free game play “power cards” for giveaways from the Coyote Radio table.
The Walk for Kids, a 5K (3.1-mile) event, which took place on April 7, drew an estimated 4,000 people and 3,500 walkers. More than $193,000 was raised through the event, benefitting the Ronald McDonald House.
The Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House opened in 1996. Since then it has served more than 3,000 Inland Empire families (10,000 people) providing a valuable community service to families facing the most difficult of life’s challenges: the illness of a child. The house provides a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children who are receiving care at a nearby medical facility.
